Marge Buell Web Extras

Hogan's Alley #16 featured an article about the business side of cartooning. Comics fans are familiar with the work of Marge Buell, creator of Little Lulu. But Buell also ran a business that licensed her popular creation to advertising and other media. Here is some material, from Buell's own archives, that paints an even richer portrait of a pioneering woman cartoonist. (All quotations and images reproduced from the Marge Papers, Schlesinger Library, Radcliffe Institute, Harvard University.)
